The short story The Victim of Higher Space is one of the definative stories that Algernon Blackwood penned and this book gets together some of the stories of a character enduring in the horror genre but one hasn't really heard enough about. Get this book if you want to introduce yourself to Algernon Blackwood's work. Ronald Hanna did an excellent job putting this collection together and how he managed to find them would be something I have to find impressive. This author is one of the most important horror writers next to H.P. Lovecraft but you can see where he influenced HPL. This was the groundwork for what would become H.P. Lovecraft's famed Cthulhu Mythos, this is not a book to miss. Do yourself a favor, spend the money and get this one. I am proud to have this book in my collection too.
