Mario Milosevic is the real thing: came across his 100-word flash fiction/prose poems first, then received 'Animal Life' as a gift after insisting everyone I knew read his blog until they had to do something to shut me up. It didn't work: now I insist they read this, too. Milosevic's writing is funny, simply elegant, honest, soul-moving stuff made of excellent craft and spirit both. I'd put five stars, but I can't figure out how.

Beautiful language, capturing rhythm, wonderfully imaginative. Impressive!

Mario's poems are beautyfully expressed.The texture and shape of words, the imagery, the rich content-all roll into a fascinating write.Animal lifes with its multi-dimensional features in the realms of nature are portrayed vividly in his poems. My Favorites are Leaving, Evidence and Tattoo.This book is a compelling read.
