"I came into this world, like a puzzled panther..."
-Darby Crash.
"Liquid Church Clown in a Kaliedascopic Sanctuary!"
-Brian Fowler, describing Freedom Fest 3.
"Exhaust from the car ahead looks like ghost horses."
-from poem in progress,Will Dockery.
Freedom Fest 3 is starting to sound like the best yet! This will come about in the month of October, when all begins to cool a bit in these parts. We had to pass the usual Spring/April 20th time, when the first two Freedom Fests were held, due to the sad fact that Woodie's Roadhouse closed it's doors again. As with the first FF, the newly revamped Jones Avenue will headline, and Brian Fowler will host.
Here's the update on Jones Avenue from the leader of the band himself, the Follicle:
Jones Ave. is about up on all 4's w/Bob Harvey,Dennis Beck, Dr. David Wisdo and Follicle. We will probably be doing some Sundays at the Cannon brew pub to get the rust off the machine.Jones Ave. will hit
the streets w/ a psychedelic lightshow, and a much
improved P.A. Jones Ave. has instrumentation w/ electric mandolin(On course thru a marshall half stack),electric violins,gtrs,dulcimers,auto-harps and
stand-up bass. Wierd Folk. The current show
plays the best of Jones Ave. and San Francisco Blue as well as some covers of Quicksilver Messenger Service,Moby Grape etc... We are going to play "Hurting For People a song written by Skip
Spence(Moby Grape)and Bob during their Jefferson Airplane days... Stan Stephens is back on board as
our trusted soundman. New member Dennis Beck
brings alot to the table vocally and on guitar,
he also shares some bass duties w/ Bob and David..."
We hope to get all the previous players from Freedom Fests past on the bill, as well. Over the course of the first two, Haywire, Barefinger Bluejelly, Misfortune 500, Moon Prophet, Henry Conley, Great American Sloth Band, Innocent Ivey, and others have performed. There were also airbrush artists, glass blowers, Tarot readers, poetry readings and mudbog races.

Do you know that it is your voice, that interacts with the sound that makes this and excellent work of art? the fusion of the beat, the flow, timing, everything moves as if it were meant to be. I am Impressed!
